DPD takes its environmental responsibilities seriously and is committed to 100% carbon neutral deliveries. The company aims to minimise the carbon emissions of each delivered parcel, and offsets the remaining emissions by funding clean energy projects around the world.
DPD Belgium recently invested in two BC202-EV electric body carriers for its new hub in Vilvoorde, which will start operations early 2022. This site will include a range of environmental features, such as solar panel arrays to help charge electric vehicles. The vehicles are fitted with Terberg Connect and are maintained by TTB.
DPD Procurement Manager Marnix Decuyper commented: "We have been using Terberg body carriers for a long time, and they supported this purchase effectively, it went smoothly. We also operate a number of Terberg body carriers with diesel engines at our 11 sites throughout Belgium."
