The fact that St vd Brink has a young and diverse fleet is evident from its most recent investments. Following the purchase of an electric crane truck, two new Terberg YT223 terminal tractors have been acquired. These tractors are being used for shunting operations at the distribution center of a supermarket chain in Zaandam.

Between 40 and 60 Trips Per Day
Throughout the day, St vd Brink employees move trailers between various locations within the supermarket chain’s distribution center. On average, each employee performs between 40 and 60 trips per workday. In consultation with the client, it was decided to purchase new terminal tractors. With an increase in work, transport operations have been scaled up, ensuring the terminal tractors are fully utilized.

Collaboration Between Terberg Tractors Nederland and St vd Brink
St vd Brink has previously collaborated with Terberg Tractors Nederland, making it an easy decision to choose this supplier again. Four terminals are currently in use at the supermarket chain's yard, and since October, an additional terminal tractor has been deployed at the building materials distribution center. The terminal tractors come with a full maintenance contract, ensuring increased availability. The new tractors were delivered in October, and two more are set to follow.

Specifications of the YT223 Terminal Tractors
The new YT223 terminal tractors are robust and equipped with a range of features, including a roof air conditioner for heating and cooling the cabin. The advantage is that the air conditioning continues to work, eliminating the need for idling, which reduces fuel consumption. This also contributes to St vd Brink's goal of achieving a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2025, compared to 2020 levels.

Extra Comfort for the Driver
The cabin has been redesigned with the driver’s comfort and ergonomics in mind. New fingertip controls are conveniently placed right next to the seat. The cabin suspension is exceptionally comfortable and considered best-in-class. Accessibility to mechanical and electrical components throughout the vehicle has been significantly improved. After all, we want our drivers to be able to work comfortably and efficiently. Additionally, the chassis is rustproof and hot-dip galvanized, ensuring the tractor maintains its appearance under various weather conditions.
