Regional Sales Manager

Terberg DTS UK is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our sales team.

What is the job role?

To identify opportunities in the supply and aftermarket support of specialist vehicles and products.  These products are sourced from our existing supplier portfolio but can also be sourced from alternative suppliers to support our customer’s needs.  The current ranges including Terberg tractor units, Seacom trailers, Goldhofer aircraft and industrial tow tractors (sales & hire). 

The promotion of aftersales (service and parts) is also key to existing customers. Sectors include but not limited to Logistics, seaport, industrial and aviation.  To increase business opportunities within the region by identifying new markets and seeking out competitors.  Maintain and build relationships with existing customers.  This role carries a strong emphasis on new business with some account management responsibility.

Requirements and what we are looking for

  • Prepare customer quotations, hire requests and order confirmations and associated documentation.
  • Provide regular updates on market news and competitor information.
  • Upload quotes, activity etc on to the company CRM system on a regular basis.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Understanding of local area.
  • Assist parts & service with potential business opportunities.
  • Provide high quality, accurate and in-depth knowledge of where the competition is operating.
  • Work closely with regional service engineers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Provide activity reports as requested.
  • Maintain and update company CRM system.
  • Ensure that all administration is completed on time, accurately and in line with set processes and procedures.
  • Be responsible for managing your own time efficiently.
  • To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented.
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.
  • Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for improving efficiency or customer experience.
  • High attention to detail & analytical mind set.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • New business sales experience in a similar role would be beneficial
  • Territory planning skills
  • Industry experience would be an advantage
  • Capital equipment sales / rental experience
  • Demonstrate good negotiating skills
  • Flexible approach to hours and travel (some nights away will be required)
